I am attempting to transfer from PS3 to PS4, but under different PSN ID's.
I tried just logging out of the PSN ID on the PS3 and logging into the account I'd like to use on the PS4. This doesn't work as PS3 won't allow you to associate a new PSN ID with the same user account.
I tried copying the save data to a different user account and associating the new PSN ID with that user account, but then the character export gives a save data corrupted error.
So my solution was...I linked my battle.net ID with the old PSN ID on the PS3 and did the export successfully. Then I disconnected that battle.net account from the old PSN ID and connected it with the new one. Does anyone know this this will work? I'm hoping that once the save data has been pushed up to battle.net, I can flip that battle.net account to a different PSN ID and do the import successfully.
